Before I started Freak Athlete, I spent three years playing semi-professional soccer in the UK and Spain. Soccer was my life, but in pursuit of it, I went through three major knee surgeries. Each one was a setback that made me question if I’d ever get back to full strength.

In 2021, during my rehab, I discovered the power of posterior chain training and everything changed. For the first time, I started strengthening the muscles behind me: my hamstrings, lower back, and glutes. My knee felt stronger and my pain started to fade.

I had a home gym with limited space. I searched everywhere for equipment that would let me train these movements at home, but every option was either too bulky, insanely expensive, or both. So, with my entire life savings I decided to make my own.

Six months later, Freak Athlete was born.

This is my new bestie setting me up for performance gains and it is also part of my physical therapy so I can return to the slopes.
