Is this a pair or a single dumbbell?
This is a pair, and the cradles are included.
What weights does it go through?
Every model starts at 10 lb. The 85 runs 10 lb to 85 lb, the 105 runs 10 lb to 105 lb, and the 120 runs 10 lb to 120 lb, per dumbbell. The jumps are 5 lb the whole way, with one exception: it goes from 105 lb straight to 115 lb.
How long are they?
21.3 in at 120 lb, fully loaded.
Can I go heavier later?
Yes. You can add plates later, so starting with the 85 does not lock you out of the heavier weights.
Can I adjust these without the cradle?
No. You need to use the cradle to adjust the weight.
Will they work with my spotter arms and other accessories?
They work with almost all accessories, because the design is cageless.
Are there other finish options?
No. There will not be different finish options.
What is the connection to Snode?
We cannot speak on their behalf, other than to say these designs are not exactly the same.
Is this covered by warranty?
Yes. Details might change, but the dumbbell is expected to launch with a lifetime warranty covering drops up to 39 in. onto a normal gym floor. If anything ever happens, we would simply send you a replacement part. This does not cover intentional drop testing.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. The 100 dollar deposit is fully refundable at any time and it books your spot in line. The 50 dollar cart deposit is refundable on the same terms. Email us at support@freakathlete.co.
Why place a deposit?
We have very limited inventory because this product is complex to manufacture. A deposit guarantees your spot in line with no risk, and it is fully refundable.
When will they ship?
We are expecting to ship by the end of 2026. That is an expected date, not a guarantee. We are aiming to ship sooner than that in 2026, and it could also land later depending on manufacturing capacity.
When is the balance due?
Once we confirm a ship date, you have two weeks to pay the balance in full. Your deposit comes off it. If you decide not to pay, we simply refund your deposit.
Should I get the dumbbell cart?
We recommend it, so the pair is easy to move around your home gym. It is not included. You can add it above for a 50 dollar deposit, and the cart is expected to be 300 dollars.
Can I change my reserved weight later?
Yes. Email us at support@freakathlete.co and we move your deposit to another weight. You keep your spot in line.
When can I buy in Canada?
Canada gets the same dumbbell in lb. Deposits and pre-orders open there in the next few months.
When can I buy in the UK, the EU or Australia?
Those markets get a dedicated kg version, running 5 kg to 55 kg in 2.5 kg jumps. We will also offer a lighter version that expands later. We do not have a date to give you yet.
