I expect these to have a positive impact on my fitness aspirations and schedule. They provide a freedom that impacts personal life too. Weight range is pretty ideal, may buy a couple smaller bells though. I can take my pants off to train now. Bell feels a little more natural with weight added than just the shell. Perfect height for semi incline push ups if you get two. I also don’t love sweating at home but it’s a reasonable trade off. There’s still a place for the gym, but these could certainly eliminate the need if necessary. Design is well thought out, edges are not sharp and transitions are smooth. There are some form adjustments to make if you’re used to regular bells. After around 7 years of consistent traditional weight and machine lifting (natural) I accepted I probably won’t ever be a body builder. I’ve been doing mostly only kettle bells and running for the past 8 weeks, and have had these FA for a week and am definitely impressed and glad my Instagram algorithm had a rare targeted win.
I’ve owned several benches over the years, including the REP Nighthawk, REP FB-5000, and Titan Utility Bench, and the Freak Athlete ABX has completely replaced all three for me.
What I love most is how versatile this bench is without feeling like a compromise. It gives me the functionality of an adjustable bench when I need it, while still providing the stability and feel I want for heavy pressing. Instead of having three different benches taking up space in my gym, I now have one bench that can do everything I need.
The build quality is excellent, the adjustments are quick and easy, and the bench feels extremely solid under heavy weight. The attention to detail is also noticeable — it feels like Freak Athlete actually designed this around how people train rather than simply making another adjustable bench.
For anyone building a home gym and trying to maximize versatility without sacrificing performance, I highly recommend the ABX. For me, it replaced three benches and actually freed up space while giving me more functionality than I had before.

I’ve had my bench for a couple of weeks now and am ready to share my initial impression: I love it! I’d been using a perfectly adequate adjustable bench for the past 20 years, but decided to upgrade to the ABX because I wanted a leg trainer, and this one was supposed to be the best on the market. The fold-down top, the wheels, and the vertical storage features were initially not important to me. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was wow, it was heavy. As I put it together, I began to appreciate the quality of the design and construction. This is a top-of-the line bench in every way. It’s a work of art. In terms of functionality, it’s perfect as both a flat and inclined bench. The leg trainer exceeded my expectations as well. I'm constantly working around knee issues but don’t experience any pain using it. I couldn’t be happier with the setup. I then tried the fold-down top while doing seated DB shoulder presses and I realized what an improvement this was. And I began to appreciate how easy the wheels made it to move the bench around my workout room for different exercises. And then I tried storing it vertically and realized that was easier than what I was doing before, and it was a huge improvement to the layout of my workout space. In short, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
I use my Hyper Pro X almost every day now, and it has made my workouts noticeably more effective. It is one of those pieces of equipment that quickly becomes a regular part of your training routine.
At first, changing between the different setups takes a little practice, but once you get used to it, it can be converted very quickly. At the moment, I use it most often for hip thrusts and Nordic curls, and it works great for both.
What I particularly like is how solid the whole machine feels. Nothing rattles or wobbles, even during harder exercises. The different positions also feel very natural and ergonomic, which makes training much more comfortable.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the Hyper Pro X. It is versatile, very well built, and has definitely improved my home workouts. Easy 5 stars from me. 👍
I had two full sets of mixed kettlebells, one for work and one for home. I sold the work set and made enough to buy 2 of these. So convenient, super solid and easy to adjust and well balanced too. I’d looked at adjustable before but until this one they were too inconvenient to switch in the middle of a workout or they were poorly balanced and weird shaped. These are great!
As a personal trainer who operates out of her garage space saving is KEY. I train a lot of moms (pregnancy, postpartum) and the bench helps me train them throughout this seasons safely and effective. It’s so sturdy and safe for me to use. The bench gives me so much variety on training my clients.

Hyper Pro X is the most versatile machine I’ve ever used! It’s far and away the best purchase I’ve made for my garage gym. I especially love the leg attachment that lets me hit quads and hamstrings thoroughly. They also have excellent customer service and helped me out with a mistake on my end without hesitation. It was awesome! If you’re on the fence, just go for it. You won’t regret it!
Perfect for working out at home, the long range of weight allows to make progress fast. Super easy to use, I also appreciate the soft surfaces and the quality of all materials. It arrived to Madrid on the date indicates and perfectly packaged. A solid 10/10!
I really love these kettle bells! They take up minimal space and I can work out wherever I want with them. They work exactly like their advertised as well. I have had no issues with them.
My family and I are so excited to integrate this into our training routines. My daughter's already started to talk about the leg pump from the leg developer. The system was really easy to follow for construction. Love the videos that walk you through it, and for our small gym it's such a great space-saving way to add so many different training components to our sessions.
I have a home gym in my garage and space was an issue. This was the perfect machine to enable me to do so many different movements without taking too much space. If youre looking for a good quality well built machine that is compact, this is it.
Only downside would be that it takes some time to get used to it. Youre gonna need to watch videos on how to use it before youre familiarized with it. But besides that, it works very well.
I’ve got to be honest, I was a PowerBlock dumbbell / kettlebell guy but, I had long outgrown present ones and my wife had taken them over. Trying to get the larger set of PB ones over here in Scotland was impossible, which led to me looking at others and I ended up at Freak Athlete. So, I did my research and, after a bit, went again my Scottish heritage and spent money!! The kettlebells were in short supply and I received one, then the other several months later (no biggie). They are, without a shadow of a doubt, the dogs bo**ocks of adjustable kettlebells! Amazing. The build, the ease of adjustment, the lack of the ‘clang’ sound during use, the design, the cool FA logo! I need to stay in shape for my work and I travel a lot - these guys, and my endless rope, are my companions from this point forward! Are there any down sides? Honestly, no. You can tell a lot of thought have went into these and, I’m sure, they will outlive me, given I’m 60 next year. Finally, a big shout out to the customer services team who continually kept me informed throughout the delay of the second KB. You guys genuinely did your company proud. All in all, a positive experience - not something a Scotsman usually says after parting with money! 😂
It’s missing all the nuts. It is scratched with deep dents and literally the hardware packaging shows that the washers are sealed where the nut should be. I can’t even put it together. Not to mention every bolt on that was tightened from the factory is scratched.
Also, the first step of the video is to install the long bolt. That is listed as step 2 on the hardware packet.
What an upgrade to my home gym. This adds so many more options for workouts while using minimal space. Also the quality of this is top notch, a nice heavy solid bench for all kinds of lifts. 100% you will love this for a home gym!
I won’t lie, I was skeptical that I could find an all in one piece of equipment that met both excellent quality build, ease of use, and produced true results. Especially one claiming to be so versatile and allow so many important movements to be built into my fitness routine. However, I have fallen in love with the Freak Athlete Pro. As someone who has limited gym space at home it’s beyond a perfect fit. Furthermore, as a single role medic at a fire department, keeping my posterior chain, core, and legs strong and healthy is a requirement. The Freak Athlete Pro provides for me what would take a commercial gym membership with a host of equipment to fulfill. All at a fraction of the cost, a minimal footprint, and a premium design. Well done Freak Athlete!!
We bought the ABX, the Leg development attachment, the sit-up attachment, the dip bar, and the cable pulley attachment for our 16 year old grandson to use! Today was the 1st morning that he used it and he loves it!!! I ordered the power tower yesterday! We expect he will get great use from this system.
I am so pumped I pulled the trigger on the ABX weight bench. It was super easy to put together. It is a HEAVY DUTY bench, comfortable, extremely high quality. What I love most is how you can add accessories to this bench to make it a complete system. More to come on that soon, hope to add to it within the next few months. First one will be the ABX leg developer attachment.
I did extensive research on benches knowing I wanted to invest in a high quality, well made bench that would last for a lifetime. I would put this bench up against any of the “major brands” in the space as this equipment is just as good if not better, and priced below those other options. Not to mention as I said above, the versatility of this bench with the ability to accessorize.
