When will it ship and be available to preorder?
Previously, the MAIAK was promised to launch for preorder on Apr 15, but this date has long passed. I'm truly sorry for this, and you have my word that going forward, you will get complete transparencies.
At this stage, we cannot promise a firm ship or preorder date, but it will most likely ship by the end of 2025. I want to be very clear that this is not a guarantee. We will not cut corners to bring this to market, but we are also pushing as fast as we can to get it to you soon.

What happens if I had an earlybird reservation?
All earlybird reservation pricing will be honored! To be transparent, we will likely break even on these orders, but that is okay. You have supported the MAIAK vision from the start and we wouldn't be here without you. Thanks for helping to make this possible!
What will the pricing be?
Pricing is still TBD (other than earlybird reservations) as we finalize manufacturing and logistics costs, but we expect to be in the $999-1199 range for the base unit, as well as to have a discount if you buy two.
Our goal is to make this as affordable as possible while prioritizing the product quality and function.
Since MAIAK is partnering with Freak Athlete, what is changing about the product and launch?
Everything Andreas shared so far about product features and specs is still accurate. However, we are able to improve the product quality and logistics drastically using our existing infracture.
We have warehouse partners in USA, EU, UK, CA, and AU, so we will be launching in all regions right away! We also have secured air freight pricing to ship initial orders directly from our manufacturer in China to reduce lead time compare to using sea freight upfront.
We have built a strong network of trusted and reliable manufacturing partners in China. Yogi (Head of Product) and myself have spent the better part of 2023-2025 on the ground there, so we are able to apply our connections and manufacturing capabilities to the MAIAK and bring it to life.
Where can I mount it?
You can mount it almost anywhere. It’s designed for maximum versatility.
Plus we're developing a wide array of attachments.
What training modes will be available at launch?
We will be offering a traditional cable mode (normal strength curve), eccentric mode, drop set mode, and band mode at launch, as well as the ability to customize the strength curve and build presets!
Is there a safety mechanism?
Yes, there is! If the cable is at the same location for multiple seconds, depending on the weight, the software will detect this as you being stuck (picture being at the bottom of a press for example) and automatically ramp down to 10kg.
