The Nordic Mini is well buiult and easy to construct, I casually out it together in about 45 minutes. Although it is a niche piece of equipment, it allows you to do the exercise well and my hamstrings are definitely feeling it. I've really enjoyed both the prodcuts and brainding from Freak Athlete, can't wait to see what they have to deliver to us next!

Pretty solid piece of equipment for an exercise I need to incorporate into my fitness. Works great with no functional issues. Only reasons I’m giving 4 stars is the bolt holes for the foot plate weren’t large enough so I had to drill them out, ruining some of the powder coat. Also, with size 13 feet the angle to get my feet in there is a bit jigsaw puzzle. Finally, two bolts that connect the upright for the ankle pad need some sort plastic cover for the threaded end. My shoe has already hung up on them more than once. Would I buy it again? 100% yes.

Really good product. I was surprised on how heavy the package was when it arrived. Made out of solid materials this equipment will last a lifetime. I have used it and it’s very steady, can perform Nordic curles with the proper amount of support in your feet and knees allowing to focus on the right muscle groups. It’s also easy to move around with the wheels it has. The only minus was the assembly as it was very time consuming

For the price, it really is worth your time and money if Nordics are something you’re looking to master. I had a minor issue during the last step of assembly where the screw holes on the footplate did not match the screw size. Customer service was excellent in their response. They addressed it promptly and quickly sent another footplate with matching screws. The only minor tweak I would make is where the ankle cushions slide into the height adapter, the ankle cushions wobble in just the slightest way once locked in. Once your ankles are in they don’t move at all, but that could be cleaned up just a little so the cushions are in their 100% securely at all times. Overall, you can tell this company is really trying to do things the right way at a fair price for the average home-gym(er). Definitely buy it.

I've been using the Nordic Mini for about a month. At first, I couldn't even do a half curl. Now, I'm almost at a full one and my hammy's are feeling stronger than ever. Awesome product!

I love the nordic mini! I've used a long piece of wood and straps for a while but it doesn't compare the engagement you can get with this machine with the pads and foot plate. Being able to push through the toes on the foot plagr and also do regressions with something like the ab wheel has been great. I thought, "straps are fine," but I wasn't progressing all that much. Take the jump and get this if you're on the fence. Good value for the money.

What I was missing in my workout routine. Space saving designs huge plus. Looking forward for the new version. I preordered it so excited. No doubt it will be a game changer in my workout routine.

Very well-built! Simple and easy to put together although some power tools would make the job far easier. It’s the tool and every serious lifter needs to have or anyone who has had hamstring or knee injuries that wants to get to the next level.

Great product! I have been looking for a compact, affordable Nordic Ham bench for years and finally found it with Freak Athlete. I am 6'2" and 200 lbs and don't have any issue with the stability or durability. I haven't needed any extra weight plates to counter balance my body weight. My hamstrings get stronger each time I use it.

Nordic Mini The Nordic Mini is perfect for a home gym. The compact design saves space and makes it easy to move around. That said, the most important aspect is function. The Nordic mini does not disappoint, my wife and I are both able to use the mini without any issues. The pad is comfortable even for a person who suffers from chronic knee arthritis. Highly recommend the Nordic Mini.

Great piece of equipment I tried other methods to perform Nordics and they didn't work (straps, bars, you know). The FAE Nordic Mini is the answer. Solid, well built and very functional, it provides a great workout. As a plus, it is easy to store and does not have to take up a lot of space in your home gym.

Quality Equipment Once I got the instructions, it was smooth sailing. I like the quality build so far. Seems sturdy. Benji and the support team were very quick and thorough.

Review For my husband it’s 5 stars for me my biggest issue is the setting for locking in your ankles. I have really skinny ankles I guess but I can’t get the thing low enough down without being able to get my feet in. If I use the setting lock holes higher I can set it with my feet in but once I go as low down as I can I can’t get out without help so I use it when I’m working out with someone so it’s not a big deal. But it seems sturdy and well put together

Nordic Curl A Must for Freak Athletes!!! Great quality, very easy to assemble, build quality, weight and size.

It gets the job done. There are many Nordic Machines on the market. I really wanted the Rogue version, but after shipping it was close to $1000. For a single exercise machine, it's just not worth it. Plus it takes a lot of space. Then I saw the Nordic Mini on Coop's garage gym reviews. It's not fancy, over built, or beautiful, but it get's the job done as good as the high end models . It's easy to store and move about. There's really nothing negative about it and when used in a home gym, it should last for many years. The packaging was excellent. It has to be because this comes completely unassembled. The first thing to know is you will need a 17mm and 19 mm Socket and wrench. You can throw the so called tools it comes with away immediately, they are worthless. The directions indicate you need a 10 and 12 mm wrench, but it's wrong. Putting it together was easy and done in about 20 minutes. For what this is, the price is fair, quality is good, and it performs as advertised. There is nothing more you could ask for. Here is my solution to storage. I use a Rogue wall hanger to hang by Rogue bench. The Nordic mini fits in the hanger almost perfectly, ( just bit tight and it does scrape slightly. Nothing to damage the product or cause any issues ). It hangs on the wall out of the way and looks pretty good doing it. Storage problem solved.

Quality Product I put this together today and used it for the first time. It is perfect for my home gym. This is a high quality product that is very straightforward to assemble. (Use 17mm and 19mm deep sockets, not the cheap wrenches that come with it, to assemble it quicker.)

Awesome! I've used other DIY nordic options and this is better than all of them. I like everything about this machine, except for the fact that the footplate came with some of the powder coating already chipping off. It doesn't affect the function, but it does affect the aesthetics. Still 5 stars.

Works Great for Patellar Tendon Graft The other reviews describe the product well - it's great for isolating the hamstrings. For those, like me, who had a patellar tendon graft, I wanted to share that the padding on the Nordic Mini is excellent when reintroducing contact and tension to that kneecap.

The Bees Knees Received this about 2-3 weeks ago and have been using it 3x/week since. The setup is incredibly easy. Stores compact. It's incredibly stable and comfortable allowing me to focus on the movement and range of motion. I can tell it's also leading into better hamstring activation during my squats, running speed work days, and on the bike. Great addition to my training arsenal.

Worth every penny I received my Nordic Mini a few days ago. It took me about 25 minutes to put it together. It was pretty straight forward, but I wish I had my ratchet set nearby -- I would have finished in half the time. I'm very impressed with how sturdy this thing is. I've done nordics with a Nordstick up until now. I wasn't even sure if it would be much different from that. But what I found was I enjoyed doing Nordics for the first time. I could push against the foot plate while lowering myself, and my hamstrings (and calves) engaged in ways I hadn't felt before. So THIS is what a nordic is supposed to feel like! If you are serious about strengthening your knees and hamstrings to freakish levels and are on the fence, do yourself a favor and get one of these!

Just about perfect. This is a great piece of equipment to get people started on nordic curls. As a gym owner for over a decade, I’ve been waiting for an affordable “GHD” type apparatus. As another review stated, it’s a big tight to get bigger feet in and out, but it’s not a deal breaker. As a full sized human (6’4 255lbs) finding equipment built for me is hard. Just threw a couple 25# plate on the back and it was rock solid! I highly recommend getting one while you can.

Great piece of equipment with high quality Given the low price I expected a typical foreign made item that did the job but was low quality. Big surprise; this is one of the best pieces of exercise eqpt I've ever bought and I've bought a lot over the years, including some heavy duty commercial pieces. This is packaged well, goes together easy with good instructions, has great design and very high quality with high quality powder finish. Heavy duty and solid for the price. The only thing that might help bigger users with bigger feet; make the ankle pad upright with the holes in it one inch longer and put one more hole in it at the top end. I wear size 14 shoes and use the nordic mini with my shoes off so I don't get my toes hung up on the legs getting out. That said, it works great with shoes off too. Good job guys. And did I mention hopping on for the first time and doing a curl with straight back and no bend at the waist gave me immediate hamstring cramps from hell. It works!

Exactly as Advertised Had for a few weeks and works well. It’s really hard, as expected, but perfect to isolate the hammies. Using it with bands and my power rack until I can build up to an unassisted rep. Easy to assemble and move. Much better than the alternatives I was using previously.

Well built and and does what you want it to do. Considering that it's basically the cheapest on the market compared to other nordic hamstring benches etc, it's a very good product. Takes less room and is completely noise free. I have no complaints about it. Fast shipment and good instructions in the manual.

Great way to hit the hams at the insertion. The box looked like it had been gang banged, I mean it was beat up, with holes every where, instantly I'm like this is going to suck trying to figure out who to contact for lost parts. But to my surprise everything was present and accounted for. It bolted together with ease using a wrench and ratchet combo. It's nothing fancy it's just pressed sheet metal piece, but perfect for gym equipment which is not a work of art. The steel is of a good thickness, your not going to break it. Once it's all bolted to together it's a solid thing. The pad is fancier than I thought it would be, how well it holds up that is to be determined. I love that it is smaller, so since I'm limited on space and it's way cheaper than the bigger option on other sites. After attempting your first rep you will feel like a baby back b#+(', this will.atart you on the quest of getting the perfect rep, so you can gain your masculinity back.

Great for the End Range of the Nordic With this mini-model, now you can access the end-range portion of the Nordic Exercise. Harder to do with a full-sized bench. It's also easier to move around. Excellent for home gyms! The only slight downside is if you want to do declined Nordics in the future, then a bigger bench would be more appropriate so that your face does not hit the floor. Definitely an excellent product, though. I got one for my athletes to use in their gym.

Number 1 piece of equipment I’ve tried things like nord sticks and other methods for locking my legs in place to do the Nordic raise, and nothing has kept me as secure as the Nordic Mini. Great for small places I have a small 500 sqft spot and this fits perfectly for those who live in minimal spaces Construction is solid. Easy to install but you do need a proper wrench to do it. Making progress in doing my first full nordic. But super easy to scale esp when its only half the length of a full nordic bench. Super easy to put something on elevation such as a exercise ball in front of you
